Cricut Card Fairy Cards - for Kristen

I am a member of the Cricut message board and also a member of the Cricut Card Fairy Team. We create and send cards to fellow members who need a little cheer.
I submitted a request that the team sends Kristen cards for her scheduled Widom Teeth Extraction.
Here are the wonderful cards she received. Thank you MB'ers!

Wisdom Teeth

Well Kristen did great! She got all 4 wisdom teeth removed yesterday at 12:00.
We got home a little after 1:00 PM and throughout the day she managed to keep her meds and babyfood type meals down. Ice packs are being applied every 20 minutes and she is still sleeping this morning.
Two of her friends came over with ice cream and cool drinks and jello etc. Thanks Peter and Stacey!
See how she does today.
The Cricut MB card Fairies sent her some get well cards which I'll be posting on my other BLOG today and sending them a formal TY!

Bella watching the snow

We got recent amount of snow during the night and it seems we will have a white Christmas - here is Bella on his perch looking out the front window. I had to move the perch while we have the tree in the window.

Second snow storm this week

Well - we got another round of snow this week. The first one came a couple days ago that dropped about 8 inches, last night storm dropped another 7.

Good thing we inherited a snow blower this season!

Decorating with Bella

We put up our tree and Bella first climbed the lower branches, after realizing we were not going to let this happen, it waited for us to finish and layed underneath.

A Pumpkin for a Squirrel

I had these Pumpkins on the steps with the passing days they of course got softer, this day Kristen was on her way home so I opened the door to wait for her. This squirrel took advantage of a pre Thanksgiving treat. Enjoy for it will be tossed when you run away.

You have to try this

A co-worker sent me this. It cannot be done! Makes me laugh every time I try.

How smart is Your Right Foot?
Just try this. It is from an orthopedic surgeon
This will boggle your mind and you will keep trying over and over again to see if you can outsmart your foot, but you can't. It's preprogrammed in your brain!

1. While sitting where you are at your desk in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.
2. Now, while doing this, draw the number '6' in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction!
Too funny!

In the sink?!?

Wow - this is a first! Bella follows me everywhere - and of course finds all sorts of places to lay, but the sink! He left as soon as I finished taking the pics....

Rams 33 - Millbury 14

Northbridge High had a great game, they are eighth-ranked. Rams’ had a 33-14 win over Millbury on Saturday at Lasell Field. This was the re-assigned homecoming weekend, the original date was rained out. 70+ degrees a great day for food, raffles and a ball game. Not to mention I won two silent auctions.

Red Sox 3, Angels 2 ALDS Game 4

Well if the night before was not a nailbiter - hands clasp in a prayer formation - sitting on the edge of your seat - then last night game certainly was. 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth - we won! Way to go Lowrie and Bay (scoring run)!

Way to go Sox!!!!

Red Sox 4, Angels 5 - ALDS Game 3

What a long game - something like 5 hours... hands clasped in a prayer as we watched inning after inning hoping the Red Sox would pull out a run and win. After 12.. we lost.

Ellsbury tried to steal and over shot the base in the 7th... and got caught - oh baby!
5th inning double
Ellsbury scored off of Youk's in the 5th They called him out in the 10th! - no way!

Rob Thomas - Foxwoods - 10-5-08

My sister and I went to see Rob Thomas (you may know him from Matchbox 20).
I just love his voice and his song writing.

These are some pics from the concert - yah yah - we were far away - but had a great time. He did this concert to raise money for Sidewalk Angles Foundation.

With the leaves changing and air getting cooler, I do like this time of year - except that snow is forthcoming. My son took this picture last night - it is a nice sunset with the colors hitting the night clouds.

Red Sox 4, Angels 1 - ALDS Game 1

I did not watch this game - it was on at 10:00 PM EST due to it's play in CA for the first two games. I was pleased to see the Red Sox won game 1!!!!

Homecoming - rain out

This might be a good thing, let me explain. Our NHS homecoming was to be today - you know the band, food, ball game and of course football! With the torencial downpours yesterday and today - it was all called off. (Game will only be played tomorrow at 7:00PM!)

The reason I say it's a [partial] good thing - Kristen was planning on coming home for the events, but has work to do at college.
The events (except the football game - which she will miss) like food, social activities will be held over the Columbus day weekend.
See you soon!
Go RAMS!

Cheesecake factory

I went up to Boston to visit Kristen and she said "Let's go to The Cheesecake Factory for Lunch!" Sure! Sounds great. She remembered her Uncle Chris said it was not far from NU and that it is a must place to go to eat. The location is on 115 Huntington Ave.

We walked about 10 - 15mins to The Pru and enjoyed a huge lunch. (Took left over home). Then we continued to shop in The Pru. It was a nice day and enjoyed spending a few hours with her.

I am fortunate we live only an hour away.

Off to College

We got up at 6:00 a.m. - loaded my brother-in-law's truck and off to NEU we went.

The move went great. Kristen has a sweet roommate and they got their sides of the room looking great! We had a nice lunch in the Stetson West dining hall - quick trip to the bookstore because I forgot the printer and e-net cables! We gave her our hugs and off we went home. Good luck Kristen - be good, have fun. Love mom and dad.

College Bound

Tomorrow my daughter will be moving into her dorm at NEU, this is her first year in the DPT program. She has worked hard through H.S. and we are very proud of her. This will be an exciting time for her and we wish her all the best in her next stage in life. As we move her in tomorrow I know it will be a long and teary ride home for me. Best of luck Kristen! Will miss always knocking on your bedroom door to chat. Look out text messaging! Guess I'll get really good at it. LOL.
