No power since Sunday - Irene storm

So no sooner had I posted last Sunday August 8th then we lost power at 9:10 AM.

Here is why - a tree fell on our power lines and then two subsequent poles fell which took out our cable and phone.

So here is where we stand still.... a moment in time.

I am at my sisters for the afternoon.

Outside my window

I love the mornings as various birds come to the little bushes outside my basement window. This morning there were so many birds I tried to capture them while Bella attempted to catch them (silly cat) from inside our house. Poor cat doesn't realize they are outside!

Caramel goodies

My neighbor gave me some left over caramel and I was able to make some treats.

Oreo dipped 1/2 in caramel then dipped in walnuts and jimmies.
